She Limbed in Pain And Fall Into The Corner Because Heartless People Shot Her Desperate Waiting.
The heat seems to send everyone into a frenzy. Abuse rises when the heat spikes year after year.
This pup appears to be shot. We’ll get her out of here and into the rescue Jeep. The a/c is going to feel so good on this poor baby.
We named her Roddie.
She’s safe at Stray Rescue now. The bullet entered through the front of her leg, shattered her bone, and is now lodged near her shoulder.
Sadly, because the break is right in half, she’s most likely going to need an amputation to recover.
In the meantime, she’s comfortable on pain meds and on a cushy blanket in our clinic.
We need your help. The next two days are going to be triple digit heat. We don’t see rescue slowing down anytime soon, so we are begging you to come foster a baby so we can safe lives without the panic of where to put them.
Day 6: Roddie has been so sad since she came in with a gunshot wound. Scared and not sure if she should trust us. Sadly, she had to have her leg amputated, but now she is pain free. Here she is snuggling with one of our trainers, Rosie, in the lobby. She loves no part of her day more than her snuggle sessions.
